Harris County Republican Party Executive Committee Elects Cindy Siegel as County Chair

HOUSTON, Texas – The Harris County Republican Party held a special meeting Monday evening and Precinct Chairs elected Cindy Siegel as County Chair to replace the current vacancy. Previously, Siegel has served in leadership roles with the Harris County Republican Party, including as Vice Chair and Treasurer, and has also held various leadership positions with Republican Women’s clubs, including as President of Greater Houston Council of Republican Women and as President of Magic Circle Republican Women’s Club. Siegel is a CPA and the former Mayor of the City of Bellaire, Texas.

“I’m humbled and honored to be selected as Republican Party Chairman of the nation’s third largest county,” said the newly elected Harris County Republican Party Chairman Cindy Siegel. “I ran against four other outstanding candidates and I commend each of them for their commitment and willingness to serve the voters in Harris County. I was proud to share a stage with each of them, because they represent the very best of Harris County and I am looking forward to working together with them as we build a stronger Harris County Republican Party.

“I am excited to be in this important role, and I look forward to working with all of our local Precinct Chairs to unify our Party and position us to win elections in 2022 and beyond,” Siegel continued. “We have an engaged and energized group of Precinct Chairs, volunteers, and activists who represent the uniqueness and diversity of our growing and evolving County and are dedicated to the conservative values that Texas has long held for generations. I am grateful to every person who has entrusted me to serve as County Chair, and I look forward to working together to defend our conservative principles, build a stronger Republican Party, and fight for the future of Harris County.”

Siegel plans to kick off the new year by visiting each of the Party’s eight Senate Districts on a listening tour to learn from the Precinct Chairs what resources they need to be successful in bringing in new Republican voters and energizing the Republican voters in their precinct.

“The Precinct Chairs are on the front lines and critical to our success in winning elections in Harris County,” Siegel concluded. “Together we will show the voters in Harris County that we are the Party of hope and opportunity.”
